How We Work

Review Methodology

Last Updated: July 2026

Every review published on Viva Core follows the same process, regardless of category. Here is how we choose, evaluate, and maintain the products we cover.

1

How We Choose Products

We prioritize products that are widely available to consumers and relevant to reader questions and search demand within a category. A product doesn't need to be the newest or most expensive to be covered — it needs to be something a reader is actually trying to decide on.

2

Evaluation Criteria

Each category has a defined set of criteria established before any product in that category is reviewed — for example, materials, stated specifications, ease of use, and value relative to comparable options. The same criteria are applied consistently to every product in that category.

3

Comparison

Products are evaluated against others in the same category rather than in isolation, so readers can see how an option stacks up against realistic alternatives before making a decision.

4

Updates

Reviews are periodically checked against current product specifications, pricing, and availability. When a meaningful change affects our assessment, the article is revised and the publication date reflects the update, consistent with our Corrections Policy.

5

Sources

Our research draws on manufacturer specifications and documentation, publicly available consumer reviews, and, where relevant, published industry and safety standards. Claims sourced from a manufacturer are identified as such rather than presented as independently verified.

Reviews may include affiliate links. This does not affect how a product is evaluated. See our Editorial Policy for details on how Viva Core is funded.
